Once you have signs of rust or corrosion, you have biological activity in your fuel. At this stage, you can’t expect a miracle – there is no additive that can remove rust and particulates from fuel. Mechanically filtering the fuel is the only way to remove the bacteria, rust and particles that clog filters and engines.
There are additives that claim to remove water from fuel but they actually hold water in suspension in the fuel, further enabling biological activity.
Fuel problems are progressive and aggressive – if not actively treated, they will continue to grow until filters are clogging regularly, pumps and generators won’t run, and vehicles or other engines that use the fuel tanks become contaminated with water, bacteria, mold and yeast and the cycle continues.

We use fuel to clean fuel – high-speed fuel movement through a series of increasingly fine filters separates water, rust, particles and other foreign materials. We apply a high-strength biocide that mixes completely with the fuel to stop the growth of biological material. This will knock back the bacterial colony, causing it to fall to the bottom of the tank, where it can be removed with mechanical filtration.
