Our Process

The FuelCare system eliminates problems caused by the  accumulation of sludge, rust, water and biological contaminants in boat fuel tanks. You’ll save time with our efficient mobile service designed especially for marine use. FuelCare comes right to your dock, so you don’t have to go anywhere. Using our high pressure, high volume system, like a power genie inside your fuel tank, your fuel tank will be cleaned quickly and efficiently. We’ll remove water and other contaminants from your fuel, returning the good, cleaned fuel to your tank.

  • We provide fixed-price quotes for our work, so there are no surprises once the job is done.
  • We work on your boat at most docks and ports in WA and OR.
  • We take the utmost care with your boat, and ensure that all surfaces are protected while we work.
  • We will remove and safely dispose of contaminated fuel at no additional charge to you.

Boat owners, check for these warning signs:

Frequent need to change filters

Clogged filters

Engine is starved for fuel

Coffee ground-type sediments in filters

Fuel has milky/cloudy appearance

Engine shuts down in rough water

If you are experiencing any of these problems, call FuelCare. We solve fuel problems.

Maintenance Checklist

To maintain peak fuel performance and to avoid engine trouble while under way, we recommend that you do the following:

  1. Check fuel filters regularly – Fuel filters are like canaries in the coal mine – they provide early warning signs of contamination in the fuel tank.
  2. Keep water out of fuel – Water is the host environment of the microorganisms that contaminate fuel.
  3. Replace fuel fill O-rings – Change annually to prevent the entry of water.
  4. Use biocide regularly – Biocide kills micro-organisms that contaminate fuel. We recommend Biobor JF for marine applications.
  5. Carry extra filters – Be prepared! Don’t get caught without extra filters during a fuel emergency.
  6. Don’t ignore warning signs, or put off needed service – We can help you at the dock, but if you get stuck on the water, it’s much harder to solve the problem.
